My Obsession

I think I might have an addiction to taking photos. Not only was it my major in college, but it truly is a passion of mine. I am always looking for a photo opp. especially with my beautiful girls. So, when I heard of this sunflower field I had to find it for myself. Unfortunately, the sunflowers were on the down and not really that pretty to photograph. We will have to check it out next year when they are in full bloom.

Monkeying Around at the Zoo

I love the weekends. Matt is home, and we have full on family time. Everything seems more fun when daddy is home. Saturday afternoon the girls were laying down for their naps and Matt and I were trying to decide what we should do. We knew we didn't want to stay home so we decided on the Atlanta Zoo. When the girls woke up, we hit the door running. It was a nice hot day, but we put on our sunscreen and ignored the extreme heat. It is always so much fun to take the girls to new places. The zoo is an interesting place, but watching Ella and Wren see something for the first time is even better.

Ella wanted to climb up and see everything. The lions, monkeys, and the great pandas.

The pandas were the best attraction at the zoo.

They were right up at the glass, so close it seemed like you could just reach out and pet them. The littlest baby was even there just playing and eating. So cute.

My little Wren in a nest.

Monkeys watching monkeys

Orangutans have such personality

The best $4.oo I ever spent.

Sometimes I think Ella likes the playground more then seeing the animals

As the day stretched out, Wren got more tired. She was so cute just lounging in her stroller swinging her feet off the sides. The poor little thing was so sweaty and she wasn't even doing anything.

Overall, I think we can mark this down as another day of fun in the sun.

4th of July Fun

This weekend was so much fun, Matt and I haven't gone to see fireworks on the 4th for three years. I think the last time we went, I was pregnant with Ella. This year, we thought for sure that Ella was old enough to stay out late and she would really love seeing fireworks for the first time. We have told her for days that she was going to get to go, and she would say " Yeah, I want to." However, I knew she had no idea what we were talking about. So, on Friday night, we made our way to downtown Kennesaw, through the mass crowd of people, and found our seats. I have to say, she was very patient waiting for the fireworks to start. When they first started she was very scared and Daddy sat and held her ears for her. There were times when I would look over and she had her eyes covered. "Too bright, mommy." Once the fireworks ended she told me that she really liked watching them as if the noise and bright lights had never bothered her. Next year I think she will be a pro.
