Easter Fun

Every Easter since Ella was two, we have gone over to our families church for their annual Easter egg hunt. They really do a great job setting up the eggs and preparing other fun things for the kids to do.

The kids listened to a the Easter story.

Then they had fun with a parachute.

Then the hunting madness began.

Then at the end, when everyone was trying to enjoy their new collection, a few crazy people starting harrassing the kids for a few photos.

This was the best group shot we got. Fun times.

Daddy is out of Town

Matt recently took a new job. We are really excited about this job, because it is only five miles from home. The past four years, Matt has been over an hour away. Well, shortly after taking his new position, he had to go out of town for training. South Florida was the destination. The weather was still a little chilly here, so it seemed to be a nice change down south. Here are a few pictures from his trip.

Wren's Big Girl Bed

It is now time for my baby to move out of her crib and into her big girl bed. I say that after months of her crawling out of her crib on her own. It was definitely time. Wren was excited for this new change, and had no problem transitioning. She loves just like her big sister.

Wren is Potty Trained!!!!

We are claiming April 2011 as Wren's official potty training victory. Wren could have been diaper free months before, but we all know Wren, a girl determined to do things her way.

Ella's Valentines Party

This is Ella's first year in school, and she is really loving it. She is learning lots of new things, and I think she is really starting to come out of her shy shell. This year, I signed up to help with her Valentines Day party. The other moms and myself had planned a fun morning of activities.

They got to make candy bracelets out of twizzlers and fruit loops...

Then one mom read a fun story about Valentines Day...

Ella was excited that her little sister was able to join in on the fun

And of course they ate lots of yummy food.

Here is the whole class with their teacher, Ms. Suzie.
My baby is getting so big.
and look, I am already embarrassing her by taking a million pictures.

Fun in the Snow

Living in the south, it is rare when snow falls. Especially when it snows several inches and stays for a week. Well, January 2011 began with a white bang. The girls had so much playing in the snow. They threw snow balls with daddy, and we all went sledding down our tiny hill in the back yard.

There are no photos of me outside in the snow, because I am inside, staying warm.

Christmas Time

Matt and I were really looking forward to Christmas this year. Ella; now four, is really the perfect age for understanding what Christmas is all about. Also, the magical side of Christmas was really real for her. She was so excited about Santa and talked about him almost daily. I think Wren was getting into things as well, because Ella was all about it. This year, Santa brought the girls princess dress-up clothes and movies to go along with the outfits. He also brought Ella a bike. On Christmas morning, the girls came down the stairs to see their presents and they were silent. In fact, silence was their only reaction. They both looked around at everything with no expression, not even a smile. Matt and I were trying to get some sort of reaction for the camera, but nothing. I think they were both stunned and didn't know what to think.

Usually I am a picture nut, but at Christmas time the video camera gets most of the action. So I don't really have any photos to share of the girls opening their presents. We did take a few pictures to send out in our cards though. Here is a glimpse of the Duvall family at the end of 2011
