The Flood of 09'

Well, I have to say I have not seen this much rain ever, especially since I have been living in this house. A few years back the two house that neighbor us were bought by the county and torn down. Apparently, those house were never suppose to be built, because they are on a flood plain. I remember when we had neighbors and a day of rain had them flooded. Luckily, no one living here anymore because they would be in major trouble today.

The water is probably chest high and spans 2 acres of land.
It has filled the property next door to us. Crossed the street and is in another neighbors yard.

Matt went out there and tried to clear dab re from the drain so the water would flow better. He was right at the edge of the property. When he went toward the middle he said the water went past is rake.

Eventually the water spilled over the street and headed into some houses down the hill. The water was over their front porch.
